Dear Subscribers
We’re making some alterations to our newsletters. Our main two email newsletters are “NZ Politics Daily” and “Political Roundup”. Over the last few months I’ve experimented with writing a daily introduction to the NZ Politics Daily email, but I’m now going to shift back to focusing on putting out the Political Roundup emails, incorporating some of the same introduction material into these.
From today we will put out the NZ Politics Daily at 8am each morning, but without the introduction. Instead, I will return to sending out Political Roundups whenever I can.
We now have over 5000 subscribers to our free service, but we need to grow this total to something much higher. If you can help by spreading the word about the emails by forwarding them to others, and encouraging them to sign up, that would be appreciated.
We also need to continue to fundraise, as we don’t have any access to resources from any institutions, universities, public media funding etc. Our only funding is from our subscribers, and we still don’t have enough funding to make the services sustainable. So, if you can afford to subscribe to the full service, please do – using the Substack subscription function. If you can’t afford to do this, please let us know and we will arrange a complimentary full subscription.
If you just want to make a one-off donation in exchange for an annual subscription, you can do so via Victoria University of Wellington, which runs our fundraising. Just go to the following University website, make a donation, and email me to let me know (bryce.edwards@vuw.ac.nz): https://www.wgtn.ac.nz/engage/giving/donate/areas/democracy-project
Also, thank you for continuing to supply me with feedback on the newsletters and our analysis – it’s much appreciated.
