Chris Bishop/National's strategy like ACTs I believe will backfire. It's amazing to see the mainstream media and party hysteria trying to scare people off voting a 3rd way. It's similar in my view to the Trump beat up - the more the establishment beat up on him the more his support solidifies among those who have lost confidence in the status quo (I say this without in any way endorsing Trump myself). Should have mentioned the Greek referendum on austerity. The Greek govt campaign for a "no" result, got from the people by a decent margin, then promptly ignored it and did what the Germans wanted anyway. What followed? A 25% reduction in GDP, worse than in the 1930s.
We have just been through a pandemic, and we dont scare easily. There is always a way forward, and Winston of NZ first will show those other pussies how to get a grip.
