Winston is picking up the freedom vote. The smaller freedom parties are in disarray and he is the strategic choice for those that are furious with Labour but not able to bring themselves to vote National. This is why the constant media attempts to discredit NZ First are so amusing. The people the media are trying to dissuade from voting Winston don't trust the media and will do the exact opposite. Ever time they attack, NZ First goes up in the polls.

Yes, NZ first is now mimcking the right wing Freedom Party in most every way. Vaccine denial. Climate change action denial. Four of it's potential new MP's have been active on both fronts -two cornerstones of the neo fascist and far right movments across the world ranging from Tremp/Bannon to the Italian Social Movement. One potential MP came from the Tax Payers Union a branch of ACT. So this NZ movement has been an odd mixture of populist economics (left one day, right the next). Now Winston just jettisoned his one left economic policy left (no GST on fruits and vedgies, a policy practiced by every other developed nation to some degree and praised for its health beifits by the Lancet...

Chris Bishop/National's strategy like ACTs I believe will backfire. It's amazing to see the mainstream media and party hysteria trying to scare people off voting a 3rd way. It's similar in my view to the Trump beat up - the more the establishment beat up on him the more his support solidifies among those who have lost confidence in the status quo (I say this without in any way endorsing Trump myself). I predict the same will be true for NZ First.

Should have mentioned the Greek referendum on austerity. The Greek govt campaign for a "no" result, got from the people by a decent margin, then promptly ignored it and did what the Germans wanted anyway. What followed? A 25% reduction in GDP, worse than in the 1930s.

We have just been through a pandemic, and we dont scare easily. There is always a way forward, and Winston of NZ first will show those other pussies how to get a grip. I am surprised that Chris Trotter is losing his nerve when a change is needed. That Transgender ideology wont get rid of itself. It must be something to do with being called Chris that means cant cope. MMP might mean a pig, but we can still get a pig over the finishing line first.

Why would National’s Campaign Manager, whose party is currently attracting by far the largest share of voter support, suddenly start babbling about a second election?

Im guessing they do not want a covid inquiry because they know whats coming.
