Actually, Mark, I voted for NZ First. And, you're right, I think it has improved our democracy - if only by helping to remove the Labour Party and the Greens from office. Both parties clearly have a lot of work to do before they're ready to return.

You didnt seem to have one good thing to say about the 3 wise men, who are about to bring democracy back to wokeland, so I can only assume that Chris you are a disgruntled Labour voter. The way you say "polarised politically - and growing more by the day" sounds like a Labour leftie who cant cope with losing the election. But hasnt it improved democracy ! ? You should try having your glass half full.

I rather take to task the concept that Key’s Nats govt was successful. Yes, many rich became very rich, multiple property owning became even more popular but what about the middle & bottom of society. Inequality grew, the climate was largely ignored. Wages at the bottom stagnated. Problems in the health service in particular grew, other public services remained underfunded. Infrastructure other than roads was ignored. However, if success is measured only by excess bonuses & profits then ‘yes’ it was a success.

Regarding the triumvirate of chaos, I guess we may well be talking of early elections next year.
